I consider myself a molecular biologist but I have always worked in the nervous system, either to understand aspects of its development or its pathologies. So why not, I am a Molecular Neurobiologist.
I consider science to be collaborative. The geniuses, like the highest peaks, arise within the mountain ranges (Santiago Ramón and Cajal).
Science must be multidisciplinary as well, I rely on research groups from other disciplines because I firmly believe that it is the only way forward.

Almudena Saiz

Almudena completed her neuroscience master’s degree at UAM, after a brief step by the CNIO she joined IRYCIS in 2018. She is an expert in animal models of neurodegeneration (drosophila and mouse)
